It’s Round Up Time

I have been remiss in doing “round-ups” as of late and thought I’d hop back on that bandwagon. It’s a great way to discover new blogs, make new bloggy friends and share with all of you some of the awesomeness going on in the web-o-sphere.

Ever heard of the “New Nurse Blues?” Fellow RN, Rach, writes about her experience with the blues…something most new nurses go through at one point or another. Her blog is a great introduction to the life and experiences of a new nurse in a very down-to-earth manner. You’ll love it!

Ok, this list is from last year but it is so comprehensive that I couldn’t resist…Rasmussen College has put together a list of 24 Nursing Blogs to read. There’s something for everyone…student, working RN, speciality RNs, entrepreneur RNs…enjoy!

Need a laugh? Scrubs Mag has compiled a hilarious comparison between “stock photo” nurses and real nurses. The lunch break one is so true!

Oh my…where has this post been all my life? Brittney at The Nerdy Nurse has done the amazing, the fantastic, the “why didn’t I think of this?” She’s compiled a list of the top 10 phrases every nurse should learn in Spanish. Is one of those phrases, “You have a catheter, just go ahead and pee?”

Nurse Teeny of Makings of a Nurse writes about her experience as a nurse AND a patient. We wish her a speedy recovery and all the best!

Ok, coffee drinkers. Nurse Gail at has some interesting information on how mochas compare to sodas. Spoiler alert…it’s not looking good for mochas. Her whole website is dedicated to providing health information from trusted sources…nurses! Loads of good information here and it dovetails nicely with my “take care of yourself” campaign.

Considering a career as an Emergency Room nurse? Head on over to ER Nurse Insanity and read about a lovely patient he had and a “lovely” patient he had escorted out by security. Hugs to ER nurses everywhere!

Enjoy a little weekend reading, everyone!
